Sadly August is coming to an end and I don't have any more parcels arriving this month. Autumn is just around the corner, and fortunately that means I can drag the jumpers back out. And the inevitable Pumpkin Spiced Latte instagram pictures will be returning!

I felt it was only suitable to give my 10 August favourites, to wrap up a great Summer.

Without a doubt the best purchase I've made this month, has to be my Nike Air Max 97 OG Silver Bullets. Ben actually bought them for himself first, but after seeing them in person I jumped onto eBay to hook myself up.

I've been lucky enough to add to my ever expanding Charlotte Tilbury collection. The next three products are certainly up there on my August faves.

The first was part of the Charlotte Tilbury 'Instant Seductive Beauty Look' set Ben got me for our anniversary - Legendary Lashes. I really struggle to find a mascara I enjoy using - they either tend to make my eyes water or lashes clump together. This mascara is a real contender to become a long-term resident in my makeup bag.

Up next was also part of the set - Lip Lustre in Sweet Stiletto. I'm really not a lip gloss gal - I find them too sticky and usually prefer a matte look. This gloss however is just stunning, it is such a pretty girly pink colour and it didn't feel too sticky on my lips.

Finally purchased at the weekend from the Covent Garden Charlotte Tilbury store is the new Hollywood Matte Liquid Lipstick in shade 'Too Bad I'm Bad'. I am OBSESSED! It's a beautiful warm rosy pink, and unlike other liquid lipsticks I didn't find it drying at all!

Staying with makeup I also gave in and bought a Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in 'Princess Cut'. I think I've worn this every single day since I bought it at the beginning of the month. It has an iridescent pinky hue and the glow is so intense it could stop traffic.

Finally in the makeup realm is the BH Cosmetics 'Neutral Eyes 28 Colour' eyeshadow palette. I was beyond impressed by this palette - considering it's only £13 for 28 colours. I wasn't expecting much on the quality. It's not the best formula I've ever used but the build-ability and how blend-able they are is amazing!

As you all know once a month I receive a 'Latest in beauty' box with nine products that I've chosen to try. This month I got Oskia renaissance mask and I'm seriously obsessed! It is so indulgent and my skin has definitely been feeling silkier and more radiant since using it.

Now let's talk about food - this month Ben and I celebrated 'National Burger Day' at Lamberts. This was the second time we visited the delicious establishment in Stevenage. We first went after my sister told us about her amazing find. And we instantly fell in love with the movie themed restaurant. My particular favourite is the 'Charles Bronson' - a 4oz beef patty with American cheese, onion rings, BBQ sauce, streaky bacon and salad.

Talking about movie themed food, I'm reminded of two films that really stood out this month. Ben and I have Cineworld unlimited cards and boy do we abuse them! We go at least once a week - if not more. Watching anything and everything because we may as well.

The first film that really stands out is Atomic Blonde - I wasn't particularly looking forward to this movie. It seemed a little too niche for me, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Set in Berlin, during the Cold War. An undercover MI6 agent is sent to investigate the murder of a fellow agent and recover a missing list of double agents. Charlize Theron was incredible and so badass that I was hooked from the get go!

Lastly, the movie adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower' starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey was fantastic. I'm a huge fan of King's novels however haven't read any of the TDT series. I'd heard that TDT linked all his novels together, and during the film I kept picking up on similarities to his other classics like The Shining. Matthew and Idris were fantastic together. Even though I haven't finished the novel, I felt their casting was pretty impeccable.

Sadly, September is looking to be an expensive month. I may need to live vicariously through other peoples purchases. Deb - help a gal out and buy some extra fab stuff this month.
